So much work…
For such little results…
Too this… Too THAT….
Why put in the effort when so few seem to care?
What’s the point? This too shall pass.
Blah… blah… blah…
And then other times…
It seems totally worthwhile…
It seems perfect…
It’s a challenge…
It’s an opportunity…
It’s a chance of a lifetime…
The question is…
Which is “true”?
Pointless? or Perfect?
EVERYTHING means what WE make it mean.
What will you make YOUR challenges and frustrations “mean” for YOU today?
I know from my “analytics” that only a few of you actually take a moment to listen to this song.
And that means… Us “Cool Kids” will just have to listen enough times for the rest of you.
p. s. “Genius Boy Joe Mennonna” did a damn amazing job with all the cool horns and percussion and smoky/sexy electric piano on this track… and I played one of my first legitimate “guitar solos” ever…
You can download it for free today… just put a $zero in the place where it asks you to put in an amount.
(I’m gonna start charging $10 bucks for it tomorrow. :o)
p.p.s. Did you know that some of the best selling books of all time like Robert Cialdini’s “Influence” and F.Scott Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby” were dismal “failures” at the beginning?
Fitzgerald died thinking he was a failure. Gatsby sold MILLIONS after he died.
Cialdini’s publisher told him it was “Pointless” to keep the book in print because it sold so few copies of the initial run. FIVE years later it became a bestseller and has continued to be a best seller for 30 years!
What IS the point?
The POINT, my Beloved Transformation Nation Members is to do…
Do something that means something to YOU. Do something that is worthwhile to YOU. And if other people dig it. Great. If they don’t. Whatever.
YOU dig it.
WE are just getting started! COWABUNGAH!
Hey! are you gonna click on this song or what?
p.p.p.s. These other books almost didn’t make it at all
- “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” by J.K. Rowling
- “Animal Farm” by George Orwell
- “And To Think I Saw It On Mulberry Street” by Dr. Suess
- “To Kill A Mockingbird” By Harper Lee
- “A Confederacy of Dunces” by Kennedy Toole
- “Zen And The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance” by Robert Pirsig
- “A Wrinkle In Time” by Madeleine L’Engle
- “Carrie” by Stephen King
I’ve read all of them except the Stephen King one cuz he SCARES the bejeezus out of me! (BTW “Carrie” was his 4th book but the first one published.)
It never occurred to me how hard it must have been for those authors to get their work out into the world where it could do some good.
NOW click the link and listen to the darn song ok?
(is it “creepy” that I know whether you click the links or not?) Too bad ;o) I’m doing it so I can learn and get better at this stuff. Yup. I’m watching.
