Talk about “Cowabungah”!!!
(which if you don’t know is one of my favorite words)
I’ve had the privilege in the last few months to get to know an amazing family.
Jody Temple White and her husband, John, son Riley, and daughter Allison took a massively courageous leap and sold or gave away all their “stuff” and headed out on a world-wide travel adventure that included “volun-tourism” along the way as they pitched in and helped out wherever they were needed along the journey.
Here’s their website: The Courage Vibe
Jody is in a master mind that I’m in with Jana Stanfield. Jana is an award winning multi platinum songwriter who deeply believes in a kind of travel that changes your life and gives you a global “wake-up call.” (There will be more about Jana in future posts so stay tuned)
Since I have this songwriting compulsion, I jokingly one day offered to write a theme song for the Whites.
So here it is in it’s RAW form! Live from my living room to your earbuds. The world premiere of “Living In The Leap! [lyrics are below the video just in case you want to savor them :o)]
Something else very cool is below the lyrics so make sure you scroll all the way down… to….. the….. bottom…. of the page.
Living In The Leap
Song #484 by Mark Shepard 7/22/14
Refrain:
Living in the leap
Living in the leap
Living in the leap
Living in the leap
Heaven knows where we’re gonna land
Some things in life just can’t be planned
You may have been refined by fire
But now it’s time to take it higher
Refrain:
You know there are no guarantees
A sailor can’t command the breeze
So hang on tight to your trapeze
Until it’s time for sweet release!
Refrain:
Bridge:
Do you think you’re gonna live forever?
What if we took the leap together?
Refrain:
Even Though the learning curve is steep
If you let your passion guide your feet
Who know who you will get to meet
On the way up to your mountain peak?
Refrain:
